Join your friends for a week a unique villa on the Amalfi Coast! This is a truly unique venue carved out of the hillside with breathtaking views of the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Galli Islands, legendary home of the sirens.

Private Tour September 7-14, 2024

Poggi Bonsi owner Keli Sim DeRitis and her travel partners in Italy will guide you through the delights of the Amalfi Coast as you celebrate the sweet life in a seaside paradise indulging in the sumptuous food and wine of the region. The lemon and orange trees are in blossom in May and the scent is heavenly! See the highlights below.

Tour Cost: $3,995 per person

A $500 per person deposit will reserve your spot on the tour, final payment of $3,495 is due February 1, 2024.*

Price includes:

Ground transportation to and from Naples.

Charming double-occupancy rooms with king or queen beds and en-suite bathrooms.

7 breakfasts including pastries, bacon, eggs and fruit, 5 lunches, and 6 dinners including local wines. Some evening meals will be prepared by our personal chef, two will be cooking classes, a few will be enjoyed in local restaurants, and a few will be prepared by our group at the villa.

All field trips and ground transportation.

All cooking classes and winery tours.

Tour is limited to 10 guests.

Note: This is an active tour, guests must be prepared to walk up to 5 miles per day. The Path of the Gods hike is about 5 miles with steep inclines and uneven ground. There are lots of stairs and hills to walk off all the pasta and mozzarella! The bonus is that the views are incomparible!

Tour highlights which can be modified depending on the interests of our group

 


We'll visit some of the beautiful villages along the coast including Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello.Spend time shopping for linens, jewelry, paper, and leather goods or sit in a sea-side cafe and enjoy a cocktail ... the choice is yours. 

 


We'll tour the archealogical sites of Pompeii and Herculaneum with a private guide. After our visit, we will tour a winery on the slopes of Mt. Vesuvius and enjoy a pairing lunch.

 



On Tuesday, Sorrento and its weekly market are on the menu. Our guide will lead us on a walking tour while explaining the history and unique geology of this ancient port. A light lunch will include southern Italian specialties and chesse at a local gourmet shop  In the afternoon we'll travel up into the Sorrento hills to visit a family farm where we will learn how to make mozzarella cheese and limoncello, as well as taste locally made-products.

 


We'll Hike the "Path of the Gods" with a private guide to see some of the most stunning views in the world. Antonio will make us a rustic lunch at his little goat farm on the hillside.

 



One evening we will be treated to an "All you can eat Pizza Extravaganza." Our group will take part in the entire pizza making process...making the dough from the scratch, supervising the rising process, preparing the toppings for 8 different pizzas, lighting the fire in the pizza oven, etc. and then...the best part...tasting it all! All while being serenaded by local musicians.

 


We'll board a private motor yacht with an English speaking skipper and cruise along the rugged Amalfi Coast. Stops will include the villages of Positano and Amalfi with time on shore to shop, enjoy a sprtiz, or people watch. We will see beaches and grottos up close and stop for a swim in the sea.

One day our group with walk the Path of the Lemons from Maiori to Minori. In Minori we will select dessert specialties at the famous bakery of Sal di Riso, including his his delicious creation ... Delizia al Limone.

 


Our private chef will lead us in a cooking class in our villa. Together we'll learn to prepare some southern Italian specialties such as Gnocchi Sorrentino, Stuffed Zucchini flowers, Eggplant Parmesan, and Tiramisu.
