Join Keli and MaryPat in the beautiful Cotswolds for a fantastic week full of creativity, country walks, and cream teas.

Enjoy a week-long slumber party with girl friends in the magical Cotswolds. Together we will explore this area of exquisite natural beauty featuring the Cotswold Way, a network of scenic trails leading to impossibly charming villages where every view is worthy of a painting. Weekly markets, art galleries, shops, pubs, and gourmet eateries await us in the many towns on the itinerary.

This adventure includes four days of guided visits to chocolate-box villages such as Broadway, Bilbury, Chipping Campden, Blockley, the Slaughters, Bibury ... Arlington row, and many more. We'll ramble on the Cotwold Way from our home base in Painswick which is situated mid-way between Chipping Camden and Bath. On May 26 we'll walk to Cooper's Hill to witness the great Gloucester Cheese Rolling race; an extreme sport in which contestants race a wheel of Double Gloucester cheese down a steep hill ... first one to the bottom wins the cheese! Our group will imbibe in a tour and tasting at Cotswolds Distillery and be treated to a "royal experience" with a tour of the gardens and high tea at Highgrove, the country estate of King Charles. Also on the menu is a flower-crown making class, tea party cooking class, and a gin and tonic party (we'll experiment with "mocktails" too).

Our home for the week will be Cardynham House, a 15th century wool merchant's manor house nestled in the quaint village of Painswick. The house features 9 ensuite bedrooms, each super-king bed can be divided into twin beds, several living spaces, an outdoor courtyard and a pool.

Note: Guests should be prepared to walk 5+ miles per day. Sturdy walking shoes are recommended.

Tour includes ground transportation, all excursions, classes and all meals.

Breakfast will be delivered each day, some meals will be group-prepared picnics in our kitchen and others will be at local pubs and eateries. We'll enjoy at least one High Tea on our excursions and sample scones, sausage rolls, and many British cakes along the way.

Cost:

$3,950 per person twin bed, double occupancy, ensuite bathroom (1 double room available)

$4,450 per person private room with super-king bed and ensuite bathroom (single rooms are sold out!)

A $500 per person deposit holds your spot.* Balance is due February 1, 2025.*

Keli Sim DeRitis is an artist, entrepreneur, enthusiastic traveler, and cookbook author.

After many years working as a graphic designer, a life-changing trip to Italy in 2000 led to a new career. Keli founded Poggi Bonsi, an Italian-themed kitchen store in 2001. Owning the shop required extensive travel through Italy and France to source products and cultivate partnerships. Along the way Keli learned to prepare regional specialties from both home cooks and professional chefs. Keli has been teaching cooking classes and organizing tours to the European countryside since 2014. She closed her beloved kitchen business in 2017 to focus on leading tours and sharing the unique history and culinary traditions of areas off the tourist track.

Exploring new destinations and sharing unique experiences is the primary goal of Poggi Bonsi Tours. Organizing a retreat in the Cotswolds has been a dream for many years and Keli is excited to share this creative week with you!
