Masseria Pistolais in a perfect location to explore Puglia. It features 10 beautiful ensuite rooms and is surrounded by a walled garden situated in olive groves and vineyards. There are two premium suites with sitting areas and private outdoor showers (as well as inside), three rooms are tucked into traditional trulli buildings that served as stables on the original farm, other double-occupancy rooms are well appointed with king or twin beds. Puglia boasts over 300 days of sunshine per year and we'll make sure the swimming pool is heated so you can enjoy a dip.

We'll visit Alberobello, the village of Trulli (little stone towers build without mortar) and walk the cobbled stone streets, shop, and enjoy lunch in one of the many eateries. This village has a rich history in linen production and you will find many examples of fine table linens for sale.

We will visit the unique villages of the area including Locorotondo, Cisternino, Martina Franca, Ostuni, and more as time permits.

One day we will travel into Basilicata and visit the legendary village of Matera. Once considered "the shame of Italy" this magical town was recently named European Capital of Culture. We'll be guided through the narrow alleys and stairways and enjoy a gourmet lunch in the ancient sector, thought to be the oldest city in Europe.

Puglia is the largest producer of olive oil in Italy. We will visit the Le Ferre olive oil farm and learn about production as we discover the proper way to taste olive oil while sampling their many varieties.

Puglia is a penninsula surrounded by crystal azure sea and our group will enjoy a beach day at one of the exquisite sandy beaches nearby.

Pasta us is on the menu in Puglia, and orcchiette (little ears) pasta is a the traditional shape. We'll visit the Marella Pastificio to see their production process and have the opportunityt to taste plenty of varieties. We'll even have pasta making class with our in-house chef!
